Castiglione della Pescaia

Castiglione della Pescaia

Castiglione della Pescaia is synonymous with golden beaches and green pine forests which run along the Tyrrhenian coast and is a renowned holiday resort, with a calendar full of cultural and sporting events throughout the summer season. The 15th century castle dominates this ancient medieval village. Take a walk through its narrow stone streets and experience the breathtaking view that extends to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. Castiglione della Pescaia is a fishing village with ancient traditions. Wait for the fishing boats to return to the harbour with their catches of the freshest fish, which you can buy or taste in one of the many restaurants in the town. The streets in the heart of the town are pedestrianised and dedicated to shopping, bars and restaurants, where the evening’s entertainment starts after a day at the beach. The best way to move around and discover the beaches is by bike along the cycle path that starts in Roccamare and reaches Marina di Grosseto.
